My Golf GTI 8v (modified) - SOLD

 

 
 
Here's the spec at the time I bought it:
 
ENGINE
1.8 injected, K+N filter with drilled air box and cold air pipes, uprated fueling via Audi metering head, slightly advanced timing and rich mix for extra power, cleaned injectors, Scorpion S/S full DTM straight through exhaust system, short shift gear system (30%) with weighted rod and new bushes, Splitfires, uprated alternator (90A), synthetic oil and slick 50 additives to oil, fuel line and gearbox.
CHASSIS
Jamex Sportsline suspension kit - comprises of lowering springs (-35mm at front and rear) and uprated shocks.  Jamex front top strut brace.  Original VW 14" 6J alloys with Yoko 509 rubber at front and Marshall directionals at rear.  New standard brakes.
STYLING
Big bumpers with tinted lenses and GTI spoiler.  Bee sting aerial (shortened and amp'd).  Grill spoiler.  Uprated headlamps, driver's lamps and custom fog lights.  New style front grill.  Painted brake callipers, sunroof flap and engine detailing (red).  Smoked rear lights and side repeaters.  Late style steering wheel and carbon fibre gear knob.  Aluminium race pedals.  Purple rimmed mats.  Yoko seat belt pads.  Single wiper and lay flat rear.  High level carbon fibre brake light.
 
 
 SECURITY
FULL 'Lazerline' electronic alarm and immoboliser.  Thatcham (Category II) 3 point immoboliser as well.  De-locked passenger side door with shielded door lock pins on both front doors. 
 
 
 PERFORMANCE
0-60 in under 8 secs.  Top speed of 130mph (on clocks) where it red lined in fifth!  Last rolling roaded in April 98 and showed 122 bhp at the wheels - roughly 149 at flywheel (however, I think this is somewhat overestimated)!
